A Journey Through Romans

This year for 40 Forward, we are setting aside 40 days to walk together through the powerful truths found in the book of Romans. 40 Forward is designed to help us not just read the Word, but live it, moving forward in faith, one day at a time.

Over the next 40 days, we will take it one passage at a time. Each day’s post will include Scripture, a devotional thought, and a prayer focus to guide your heart. My hope is that these will not just be words you read, but moments that help you encounter the living God in fresh ways.

How to use this blog:

• A new devotional will be posted here each day during the 40-day journey.

• You can bookmark this page and check back daily, or simply wait for the daily text message sent at 6:00 AM each morning with a direct link to that day’s devotional. (The first one is already up for you to peek at!)

• If you are a super early riser, the daily blog is posted at midnight.

• Start with Day 1 and move in order, even if you join late.

• If you miss a day, just jump back in on the current date. There is no need to catch up or feel behind. The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning - Lamentations 3:22–23.

• Consider keeping a journal during this journey to record what God is showing you.

• Try to set aside the same time of day and the same location for your reading and prayer. Building a rhythm will help you stay consistent and focused.

• Whenever possible, open your physical Bible as you read, both here during the devotionals and when you gather with us in church. There is something powerful about holding the Word in your hands and engaging with it directly.

Whether you return here on your own or follow the link in the text each morning, you will always have that day’s post ready for you to read, reflect on, and respond to.

Let’s commit to walking this road together, one day, one Scripture, one step of obedience at a time. I cannot wait to see what God does in and through us over these 40 days.

The Best Is Yet To Come!

-Pastor Michael
