Doxology

Scripture Reading: Romans 16:25–27 (ESV)

25 Now to him who is able to strengthen you according to my gospel and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery that was kept secret for long ages
26 but has now been disclosed and through the prophetic writings has been made known to all nations, according to the command of the eternal God, to bring about the obedience of faith—
27 to the only wise God be glory forevermore through Jesus Christ! Amen.

Paul ends his letter with a soaring doxology, giving all glory to God. He praises the One who strengthens believers through the gospel and the proclamation of Jesus Christ. This message, once hidden, is now revealed and made known to all nations so that people everywhere might come to the obedience of faith.

The focus here is entirely on God—His wisdom, His eternal plan, His power to save, and His glory. As the 40 days conclude, we are reminded that every prayer, every act of love, every step of obedience is for the glory of the only wise God, accomplished through Jesus Christ.

Our journey through Romans has shown us the depth of the gospel, the beauty of God’s grace, and the call to live in faithful obedience. Let this final word be our anthem: to God be the glory forevermore.

Prayer Points:

  • Thank God for the truth and power of the gospel.

  • Pray that your life would continually reflect the obedience of faith.

  • Give glory to God for His wisdom, grace, and eternal plan of salvation.
